Lightbulb me vs new M3

Yesterday, while stopped at the freeway offramp I saw the new M3 exiting and coming up right behind me. Seeing the car come up was so intimidating that time began to slow and I started getting light headed. It felt like someone pulled a gun on me and put the muzzle right to the back of my head.

Trying to keep my cool I begin to study my enemy.

Young aged, in early 30's... damn
Cool sunglasses... damn
Popped color... DAMN!

During that time the mental signals...energy...synergy... whatever... If you tasted the air you'd know... an s2000 is going to die today. As I begin to collect my wits I slowly and cautiously begin turning off the radio... set the boost controller to HIGH... and RELAX.

So, light turns green and I gently take the left turn onto a long straight with 3 lanes. I didn't want to run from the green light as I had two large cups of soup in the driver seat and I wanted to go with some dignity.

Fortuantly, as I made my left turn, the other cars also making a left turn in the lane next to me decide to block him........ HOORRAY I'm off the HOOK!!!!!!!

But, as murphy's law will have it, a light begins to turn red half a mile ahead and the car that was once blocking him decided to change lanes allow both of us to line up. I had a good 30 seconds to think about what to do.

Should I squirrel out of the hole....
Should I wait till we get to the half way through the intersection...
Should I wait for him to get the jump and go?

I decided with option 3 because it seemed like the best idea for whatever reason...

So.... the light turns green and he gently goes of the line followed by the thunderous roar from the two nostriles on his hood. It was so loud that my left foot literally froze. The driver, noticing I was paralyzed ended 1st gear at about 4k and gave another roar in 2nd gear to 4k. By the time he did this I snapped back and came up with a brilliant idea which was this... Build the rpms to 6k and when he shifts to 3rd monkey out of there. So, then I wait... so happy with my new plan... then the moment comes... gogogoGO!!! I instantly get 2-3 cars and finish 3rd gear and 20% of fourth and maintain the lead until my exit conviently comes up. I signal, stop, and let him whooosh by.

Prob so. But I did have to look over to my blind spot so I could change into his lane to make my left.

I imagine he decided to shut down before he saw me ace out of there which gave me my unfair advantage.

I must add however, I saw a similar if not the same M3 on the 5 freeway today getting loaded onto a flatbed.

Joey,

I'm pretty sure the e92 M3 can walk us easily.... which is why I resorted to cheap tactics.

guess theres only one way to find out

what is the 1/4 time of the new M3? I guess with a kick ass driver and some luck we could get our GReddy cars into the high high high high 12's?
