Me vs. something from the 70's...
Last night, I was driving and minding my own business when a car next to me kept lunging back and forth. I looked over and saw a muscle car from the 70's, not sure what exactly it was; either a Firebird or Camaro. Inside, I saw a bunch of gauges lined up against the windshield; one of them was definitely a shift-gauge. Anyhoo, the driver was a really white-trash, redneck looking fella, and I really mean it. He looked like one of those trailer trash guys on Cops TV.
He also had a similarly trashy looking girl on the passenger side. Wow! Really trashy looking.
Anyhoo, he kept staring at me; maybe he was drooling too.
He kept lunging back and forth like an idiot. At this point, I've had it. So I nodded at him and signaled a roll. We started from 45 (I was in 2nd gear), and on the third honk, we went to about 90 (or at least I did). By 90, he was 2 car lengths behind. We came to a stop light. At green, I launched perfectly from 5.5K, and by 70mph, I was about 1.5 car lengths ahead and kept pulling. I decided that I had enough. The speed limit on the highway was 50 mph. After that, he looked so pissed off, but was drooling at the same time.
Hee haw!!!
His car sounded extremely mean, like one of those mean V8's with mods; it was a raspy, loud, mean tone, like a Camaro LS1 w/ mods I've heard in the past. Really scary sound, but not exactly desireable like a sound of a sportscar, say an S2K in Vtec or a Ferrari.
Most V8 muscle cars from the 70's sound really mean, but they are rather slow in stock form compared to today's standards. His car was pretty damn quick, but without mods, he would've been bus lengths behind. Well, my puny 4-cyl pussy cat won, with her loveable purrs.
Meow!!!!!!!
After all said and done, I felt really guilty for racing, even though it was pretty quickly, and very very few cars around. It's just not my thing. I won't do it again, I'll try my best.

(Them there pretty girls need to be at home cooking and stuff...not driving them there fast ass cars!)
I'd sue him for sexual harrassment. It seems he was looking at your ass-end the whole time

It sounds like he could possibly be joking, but if he is not I hate how people overemphasize that this car is only good in the 'twisties' that is the cars strong point, but you can get it to do well off the line with proper technique. I personally don't drop the clutch but if you do, you can do pretty well in a straight line.
