Default Modded 07 WRX

So today on the way to dinner, I come up to make a left turn at a double turning signal with a 2007 wrx with exhaust on the inside. I drove normally off the green and he proceeds to floor it after the turn and I just let him go because he got too much of a jump. We catch another light and we both hit it from about a 10 mph roll and 1st gear i pull 1/2 car, 2nd I pull to 1 car, 3rd im about 2 cars ahead.. We do it once more and I get the same outcome. I'm not sure exactly what mods he had but he had exhaust, bov, and I don't know what else. He was a friendly guy and we went on our seperate ways. I thought the new 07 WRX's were supposed to be faster then that?

nice kill! My buddy smoked an Sti with just exhaust on a roll, so WRX should be easy for most. How much HP and torque did u gain with VAFC2? I have that but not installed it yet. Im gonna have Church install/tune it.

I've beaten a couple of 07 sti's too but they were very close races. I pulled on this wrx like nothing and people have been telling me that the new wrx's are a lot faster then the older ones..

I only gained 6 at peak but my powerband is really improved and i seem to be using more horsepower earlier which is always better..

The 06+ WRXs are "faster" because of more torque, but not with more HP due to the tiny turbo.

Sounds like the guy you raced against had some bad mods with no engine management, considering he had a BOV.

Either the STI wasn't racing, your buddy just beat the driver, or your buddy has a turbo

a relatively stock S2000 cant take out a STI unless the STI driver is a tool.

I can prove you guys wrong if you bring me a stock sti and go from a IN VTEC roll.. My mods are in my sig and believe or not, I have under my belt: 2-3 evo 8's, 3 STI's. All from a roll. I don't know if the drivers were just terrible but I'm a pretty decent driver. All the STI's were stock except for a few that had exhaust and a BOV.
