Default Modded 2000 GT vs. Modded S2000

Here's the deal, I plan to meet up with Milo for a friendly street drag in the near future. My mods are listed in my sig and I think Milo is running a custom CAI and a VAFC for performance mods. Who do you think is going to win?? I personally think it's going to be a very close race that will ultimately come down to the driver (read: launch), but I'd like to get some of your opinions before it goes down. We'll be sure to report back after the race with full details and results... Place your bets...

With Gears on a new GT from a stop.. i'd bet the GT would get the jump. from a roll it will be close.

Yea, you ought to do a stoplight race and a 70mph race just for kicks. Video of course. Unless the s2000 gets a decent launch I think the GT will win. If the s2000 does get a decet launch the s2000 has a good chance of winning. I pulled on my friend's GT 5 speed coupe who had a few mods from 60-120. He gave up after 120mph but I was pulling away, not much but it was pulling.

Depends on the launch. From a stop, I bet a GT would win 7 or 8 times out of 10. From a roll, I thikn the S2000 has a bit of an advantage. That video better be good.

It will definately be a close race. I have my launches almost down to an art as I race my S2000 about 4 times a night, two nights a week. So you'll see what I can do against the GT. I'll just have to get the road's slickness figured out before we race.

By the way, I don't have a video camera...do you cravnpup?

If you wanna come out to the street races tomorrow night we could do it there or we can do it earlier if you like. Doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I have two spots we can do it at. At one, the street is really sticky and I have to launch at 8K. At the other, it's a little more slippery(about what you'd find at a regular street) and I launch at 7-7.5K

It all depends on drivers of course but my bet is the Mustang all the way no matter what the race.

With the mods listed, the Mustang should be capable of ripping a mid 13 second run. As long as you (Mustang owner) can drive well, you should have him by 1-3 car lengths by the 1/4 mile point.

It is a vert though. How much heavier is a convertible GT compared to a coupe? I was able to keep up with a newer ~01 cobra Vert from 70-135 or so.
