Default Modded S14 beats a modded STI

I haven't seen this kind of thing happen in a long time.

It's 1am and I'm headed home after picking up my friend from fishing (he's plastered and can't drive)... we just got onto the freeway and we hear 2 cars drop the hammer right beside us. There's a black STI with exhaust and a 240SX S14 dropped with exhaust and wing. We couldn't see anything else.

They took off at speeds making me feel like I was driving a diesel with no boost. I desperately try my best to keep them within visual range but they were too fast. From what we saw, the S14 just took off and walked the STI about 1 full car every 2 seconds.

After a mile ahead, they slow down to around 60mph and go again... no change from the 1st run we saw... damn.

We live on a small island and I'm bound to run into one of those cars soon enough. I smell an SR20DE/SR20DET swap at the very least for the S14...

Or the ever-lethal RB25 swap.

Man I miss the island! I used to live in Aiea. I rode sportbikes back then, and raced at the track. I moved before the S came out. How many are on the island? That has to be the perfect place for the S.

SC your S and you would walk them both down and then play with the throttle on/off/on/off/on/off...on... while they look at you while under full throttle in their cars and then hammer it down and pull 6 car lengths while laughing your ass off. I did this to an EVO at 100 mph and he flipped me off as I pulled away.

there were two 240SX's with Silvia engines in them at the dragstrip when I went in the evo. Both on shitty street tires and both were running 12.7-12.8 @ 110mph..... neither really did any burnouts either.... Not bad for street driven cars...plus the 2 knuckledraggers were reving the shit out of the engines in the staging area for about a minute at a time just for fun......

Wow, must be quite a change moving away from a small island.

You're right. I was in my S when this happened. I couldn't believe how that S14 took off.
