eh, the older WRX is well kinown for busting a transmission. You can clutch slip all you want, if you're doing it from 5k, you still have a chance of breaking it.

I could have sworn the WRX is faster than that.

I'm sorry, but until a VF39 goes on a WRX, it's not that fast.

After that, it can get quite a bit faster.

Eh? High 12s is doable on stock turbo 02-05 WRXs. That's pretty fast, especially relative to our Hondas.

The newer ones can hit low 12s on the stock turbo. There is a bone stock 09' that ran a high 12 second 1/4.

Well that is not the norm for a stock wrx, and I doubt it was bone stock. Maybe all stock parts is what you meant that was tuned?
No, low 13s are the norm for a good run and high 12s are possible. Car is bone stock and it's well documented.

The new WRX has 265 horsepower, the old one has 227 or something like that.

I know the new ones are fast. They have a faster 0-60 than the STi's do.

The older WRX though, going low 12's on the stock turbo? Not for long...

That turbo is being pushed way too far if they're getting 12 second trap speeds out of it.

What? Who even said anything about older (2.0L) WRXes running low 12s? It's been done, but high and sometimes mid 12s are much more common. What do you mean with the stock turbo pushing lots of boost it won't last long? Do you even know what kind of boost levels and supporting mods it takes to run 12s in a 2.0L WRX with a TD-04?

You obviously don't have much experience with these cars and are just spouting off assumptions and small tidbits of knowledge. Just quit while you're behind.

All i know is this. If you're running a top mount intercooler and you're pushing a WRX to 12's on that tiny stock turbo. When it's normally a 14 second car... You're asking for trouble.
