Default more interesting encounters

so i assume you've read my thread on the busa, r1 and gsxr 600

here's another fun night. i go to a similar hot spot about 13 miles south of where i live, where many more cars meet, more into the hobby too (as opposed to pulling out lawn chairs and blasting music up where i live lol). all this time since i purchased my car stock last november these two brothers with mustangs have talked more smack than imaginable. long story short, one of them shows up for a change

the one that shows up has an 07 gt, with a vortech blower dynoing around 475-500 rwhp/tq. the one that didn't show has an 04 mustang gt that had a 150 shot and bolt ons at the time, now has a kenne bell and still won't come out (he claims only 440rwhp). anywho. we all start approaching him...'yo, you wana run?' 'u think u can take the s2k?' just things that kinda put pressure on his past smack talk and see if put some action behind his words. HE AGREES! finally!

as stated in my other threads, i have tuned on c16 at 25-30psi (550-600rwhp), but i have only raced on pump at 16-20psi as race gas is expensive and a bit of a trip to obtain. i recall being on 17-18lbs (460ish rwhp), top down with my girl (i felt confident about this given past races). on the 3rd beep (40 roll at his request) ive already been breakboosting and his car holds next to mine for about half a gear then falls back steadily until i gain about a 5 car lead. we race again and he leaves noticeably on the 2nd beep. his car keeps his lead for the same length of gear and as i pass him i'm watchin his boy videotape my turbo screaming at them. he gets back and tells me his traction control was on, and he'd have done better without it. i don't think so, sorry.

and this traction control bs is considering i had raced an 04 gt mustang--novi supercharged with more power that caught traction just fine at those speeds. (he lost too)

Hehe thats sick. For reference I ran an 500whp 05 cobra with a pully upgrade, tune and exhaust and ran dead even with him. Of course he had 3 people in the car either way its fun to run with the big HP cars.

Keep the stories coming!
