Actually, I thought it was a Vortech, but I'm sure he'll pipe in here and let us know. The Lamborghini is a Murcielago Roaster and it's new, but it's not an LP640. Just for the record, a new ZO6 would destroy a Murcielago (they weigh almost 2 tons) but I haven't seen what the new 640 will do.

not sure what u mean, but its a 346 inch Ls6 motor..similar to the LS1 but better heads/intake and cam.

stock the internals have seen 550whp. most boosted Z06s are in the 500whp range on stock motors. nitrous ls1's tho have seen 600whp. so i think a LS6 on spray with a big cam should handle that too.

 

From my recollection, don't they both trap similarly (125-ish)?

they shouldnt trap the same, the murc should be less mph but only by a few. 122 probly.... but murc is awd so it might be easier to drive to better ET's

the c6 z06 would walk an f430 handily. this has been proven by a recent exotic shoot out at the koenigsegg airfield, and also by IIRC motortrend in teh comparison for c6z, f430, and 997tt - that comparo said the c6z06 pulls on the 997tt and f430 after 120 quite easily.

the vette is nuts. with that kind of gearing and coefficient of drag and 7 liters of monstrosity it's set out to kill almost all on the highway in stock form........

LP 640 vs new Z06. 3,869lbs vs 3,132. 640hp, 487ft-lb vs 505hp, 470ft-lb. LP should win off the line with AWD but I have a feeling up top it would be awefully close. LP has ~70 more ponies than the old Murcielago.
