from 60 to about 90.. (at which point we past a cop and i yanked the e-brake) it was pretty close.. my front end was at his door.

cool guy after the race.. this stang runs 13.5@100 w/ just K&N intake and exhuast welds or something.. wanted to run again w/ me having the top up to see if it made a difference.. ended up taking off though.

..also raced Lips/Mark.. :flashers:

See, some GT's aren't as slow as everyone says they are...

I have seen some sick fast stangs. Luckily haven't been on the receiving end of many of their poundings.

Sure any modded cars are fast especially modded V8s
However I think mustangs are very slow for V8 sports car.
Sorry no offense
just my $0.02 cents

Let's just they're slow stock. However, a lightly modded V8 Mustang should be significantly faster than a lightly modded S2000 (I/H/E, etc.).

I raced a black one here in Houston, and he must have not been stock b/c we were neck to neck up to 80. I was pulling slightly right when we shut it down. I have intake, exhaust, and throttle body upgrades. Those stangs can be fast if driven right.

It's so easy and relatively inexpensive (at least compared to what's available for the S2000) to modify a Mustang. Plus there are a lot of aftermarket engine mods available. There's nothing like modifying a big American V8 -- they respond to mods so well.

Completely agree... The only American V8 that I actually consider a sports car is the Vette... Mustangs are pony cars...

Looks like it's gonna rain Saturday, all day. We do need to run again, it will be interesting to see if there is any difference, my car is being dyno-tuned as I type this. For the record, I got waxed last weekend by AJ. I'd have made a encounter post but it wasn't really all that interesting. ha.
