He was mad and said he was only running 10 lbs ...I'm also running 10 lbs but on a SOS S/C (409/265).

I also toyed with 3 Subies ( 2 Sti's), Evo 6 and 9, All motor civic. The civic and a blue STI gave me the best runs. I had raced them multiple times and smacked each of them silly. Unfortunately my friend only took video of me going at it with the Evo 6. Enjoy!

He's the one that wanted to go from a roll lol... if you look through the videos there is a time we slow down to like 5-10 mph and he gets a nice jump on me but I reel him in real quick :]

Your cars probably faster then his but on a frag strip the 60ft is almost the entire race. So off the line pulling a good 60ft will pull him ahead by a few cars. Awd cars will always trap lower speeds but pull nice 1/4 times because of the launch.

 

I respectfully disagree... That all depends on what the setups are on both cars. Ive seen plenty of races where the car that pulls hard off the line gets blown away halfway down the track.

Well no duh that happens. That's not the point. The point is in a drag race an awd car will run better times then a car trapping simialr speeds and trap lower speeds then cars running similar times. That is because they can pull 1.65-1.70 60ft. On a roll race you take away all there advantage. Roll races come down to trap speeds.


An evo that ran 12.2 with a trap speed of 110
An s2000 that ran a 13.3 that trapped 110

What is the faster car? On a roll race it would be very close but on a drag strip the evo would win.
