They are only fast in 1/4 due to their AWD traction (yes they are somewhat powerful as well but a good amount heavier then our cars).

If they run 13.8's and our cars usually run low 14's, I can definitely see this happening. Plus AWD is a burden at high speeds.

Only reason their numbers are so low is because of the AWD. E/T is a measure of traction and trap speed is a measure of power. Although they do have more power they still trap about as high as mildly modded s2k. From a roll AWD is usually a disadvantage so this is definatley possible.

Anything can happen when street racing, but when 2 cars are pretty equal in power/times it would be hard to overtake him when he gets a solid 2 car jump and overtake him and put 3 cars on him. As far as I knew the new X's were a bit slower (but just a bit) than the iX but with a few mods they have been responding very well.

Not completely relevant but on youtube there is a evo x getting raped by an srt4 (which I'm sure was modded) and also another vid with a guy that just purchased one, and all he could say was how "nice the interior was, but it was slow"

Again, I'm sure the X will take well to basic bolt-ons as do all turbo's but from the factory they seem a bit of a pig.

its very hard to gain the 2 cars he was behind especially since the other car was faster. I just cant see this happen unless he wasnt shifting at redline etc. wasnt trying his best

if the two cars are pretty much equal then it comes down to the evo X driver sucking and not knowing how to drive since the s2k was behind 2 cars and then won by 3 cars while both being stock.

maybe he was granny shifting? I've seen a lot of people do that. They think it is "bad" to shift at redline. Nice kill.

no no.....i kinda believe it. Look.. they are heavier than the older evo's. and there are 3 different versions of the evo X. GSR, regular, and the tiptronic kinda evo X.

Honestly, their added weight killed him. BUT i spoke with a company that came to my shop to tune an evo IX MR and they are already fabricating something for the EVOX. and believe me, like the person above posted already, this car runs really rich. Mitsu KNEW people were gonna mod this thing and built it as such. These new EVO X's will adapt Far more easily and respond Very well to Power mods. Dont be surprised when shit starts hitting the fan when bolt on's come out.

But i do love the look hahahaha

The car responds very well to mods. So far one has dyno'd at 370 with intake,I/C with hardpipes, catback, tune.

Yeah I hear you. When they start modding theres no doubt their gonna be beasts. But in stock form they're pretty sluggish (at least to carry the name Evo around IMO).

Again last night my same buddy with the stage 2 GTI and I were heading over by a buddies house when 2 white evo x's pulled up behind us at a red light. One of which was my buddy I already mentioned earlier who only went 13.8 stock, and other was just some random guy none of us knew

My buddy with the Evo just added an intake to the car, and was blowing off a little bit louder. We chatted for a few seconds, and then lined up for a 2nd gear roll ~ 40 mph. I was in my G35 coupe (aka slow ). So we take off and this race he gained on me and ended up pulling about a car by the end of my 4th gear.

The other stock one and I lined up shortly after, and once again my G coupe pulled on the evo x! From a 2nd gear roll we were even for a few seconds, then into 3rd gear my car started gaining momentum, and by the end of 4th I had about a solid car on him. I was like well, I guess thats just about how fast these Evo 10's are stock. IMO not very.
