Default My first kill with my new setup...

Today on the way to work, one of those nice new Acura TL's was inching forward at a red light. When it turned green, we both took off like normal, but it seemed like he wanted to play. He gave it some gas, and I matched him, then he floored it. I did the same, and left him like he ran into a brick wall. I put 3-4 cars on him by 7500-8k rpms in 2nd (1st gear was spent pacing one another to see who'd go first).

I slowed down as I shifted to third and he drove by and the passenger had a huge grin on their face and gave me a thumbs up

That's what I am saying. To my buddy Justin, once your FI, it is a whole new ball game. The level of worthy competition has changed dramatically (depending on how much boost you are pushing). Come back to us with some kill stories about you vs. Z06s, Vipers, mod'd Cobras, mod'd EVOs, etc. and you will get much better praise!

i have never broken in a new clutch on any of my cars, i know it is best to but giving it some gas every now and then when its new is FINE, as long as you are not flat footing it or anything while its new...

Yeah I know it wasn't much competition - it was just my first kill with the blower so I thought I'd post it up I'm not in limp - the car has a full healthy tune making 351rwhp@7psi.

Oh, and today -

A black G35 coupe tried to run me. We were going down the road and merging onto the highway in a two lane on ramp that shrinks to one and he was in the right lane and didn't want to merge in behind me and my noisy ass car. After we took the 90 degree turn and hit the straightaway of the on ramp we were matched for speed. I was in 2nd gear around 5K rpms and just cruising there, waiting to see if he'd take the bait. He floored it and so did I. I pulled him so fast it felt like he hit a brick wall and by the end of 3rd gear I was probably 6 - 8 cars ahead of him

Yes, I am taking it easy with the clutch. I can still rag the car out, I just make sure that each shift isn't slammed; I shift slow and precise. Comp stage 3 clutch and CT flywheel is one badass combo! Downshift rev matches are so easy - just like my old 4.77 setup.
