My first KILL in the S!
So I just left my parents house after showing them the new S that I bought. I had my sister in the car with me and we were heading down the Merrit Parkway. We were talking about nothing inparticular when I see a blueish colored VW corrado coming up in the right lane ahead. I stop what I was saying mid-sentence and say "ooooh supercharged v-dub". From outward appearance its lowered, exhaust, gauges up the a-pillar, supercharged badge, and a kid driving it. So I roll past it, not trying to start any trouble when I hear him blip the throttle at me.
I look over at him, make eye contact and begin the downshift journey from 6th, to 5th, to 4th. I cruise next to him at about 4k rpm in 4th and he's giving me the throttle-let off, throttle-let off. So I bring it down to 3rd gear at about 6k and just roll into it. Once he sees my car start to pull a little he drops it hard. His car dipped from not rev-matching, and then sits back. Too late though, I had already reached full boost and was running away from him. My sister was shouting "oh my god thats so cool! oh my god thats so cool!"
So I shift into 4th gear and let off. He rolls up next to me and is looking at my car like its some sort of outer space vessel. He revs at me again, as if maybe he felt cheated in some way. So again, I drop it into 3rd gear, this time I wait for him to downshift. His car lurches forward, then sits back again and I roll into 3rd gear and immediately start to tear away. 4th gear comes again and I let off, but this time he's not coming up to me anymore. So I click the hazards a few times and continue on my way.

thanks! yeah its the merrit parkway in CT. I work in wilton so i'm there everyday going to work in hellish traffic! I'm working on slowly building the S up. I've got an AEM UEGO on the way and a greddy EGT gauge. Gotta keep tabs on her.
all in good time. Tires are the last on my list for upgrades. I come from quick cars with hubcaps that hand you your ass at the track.
Plus, i've never had to buy different sized rims for my car. I'm used to being able to slap a set of rotas on them and being done. Now I have to buy much more expencive rims and make sure the offset is right and ....it goes on and on. I'll tackle that when I get to it. Tuning first!!

Wow, you actually use the cargo net on the passenger side? lol, I never bother to try and put stuff in there. it seems to small. If it's papers like that I put them in the pocket behind my seat.

oh, good point. By the time I was at the top of 3rd gear, I had about 4-5 cars on him. Had I shifted hard and continued into 4th gear, it would have been bus lengths.
Good point about the cargo net. I should jam that behind the seat. I hate having paperwork chilling there in plain sight.
