So It's midnight, I have the top down and KISS Cd is blasting on the lovely $3000 system, I'm in the fast lane doing about 80, I pass the mustang to my right and about 10 seconds later I see him change to my lane and approaching fast. I shift from 6 to 4 and punch it. The road we were on was pretty emptyand had perfect apex turns, I shifted at 9K to 5th, I'm at 121mph and pulling. he is getting left behind by couple more cars, the road turns straight and I can't help smiling, I shift to 6th and go up to 143 , he can't catch me and just high beams at me couple of times.

The s2000 is an awesome cars. I took some of the turns at 110 and the car was felt great.

Did the mustang ever pass you after you left off?...Just wondering because that's where the SVT badge is on cobra's. And if you beat him like that, I agree with your 02-previous cliam...An 03+ would literally stomp a mudhole in our ass's at those speeds...or any speed for that matter. Are you stock beside's the sound system?

I think there was no 2002 cobra? 01 was NA then 03 and 04 was sc....no 02 if i recall.

 

I'm pretty sure they didnt make an 02 cobra also.

 

they did not make an '02 cobra or a '00 cobra.

 

99 cobra. Lots of recalls and fixes. 00 bypassed due to recall 99. 01 cobra makes up for the 99 problems but does not shine in sales. 02 missed for early 03 release. 03 gets released with SC to try and spark some of the lost sales due to the 99 fixes.
