My Two Cars Going At It
I decided to finally compare the two cars that I drive. Had my brother in the Miata and I was in the S2000.
Race 1: Miata
Started from a stop. The Miata just gets off the line so much quicker than the S. Pulled a quick car and then it we stayed even.
Race 2: Tie/Slight S2000 edge
Started from 30 mph. I pulled half a car and then we both pretty much stayed even.
Race 3: S2000
Again started from 30 mph. Got some better shifts and pulled a little bit more, maybe one car?
I knew the Miata was quick, so I was just wondering how quick. S2000 is stock. Miata has a Jackson Racing supercharger and full exhaust. It's probably at about 200 bhp. We had a lot of fun just playing around.

The Miata surprised an Evo X at a small little stop light drag. It's a pretty impressive car. The kit is really cheap so a lot of owners just pop a supercharger or turbo on. I'm thinkin about ordering an intercooler for the Miata. That would most likely put it past the S2000. Don't know if I want it to be much faster than the S.

You're talking about the Big Enchilada package. It is nice but that's not what I have. I built my own turbo-back exhaust, downpipe included. And my own CAI. Computer reflashed to eliminate the Open/Closed loop transition lean-spot, and redline raised to 7,200. It's about as much fun as you can have for the total 13K (car included) that I have in it. 0-60 comes quick (4.1 seconds according to my Racelogic) launching from redline in 2nd, that's for damn sure! What sucks is on stock gears it would top out at 129mph (before reflashed limiter). What wins is that it will now do over 160 on 3.63's. Probably faster if I was willing to push it, as that's 6th at about 6,500. The car feels like it's gonna fall apart after 150 No further exploring for me..
