my z06 vs. 600RR
well i got to run a 600rr this weekend twice... on the highway, me and this 600 were in traffic for a while.. we finally get out of it and he jumps on it... i knew he would so i did too. he started out right behind my car when he jumped on it, so i had a 1 car lead but he got the jump first.... up to 125 i had about 1-1 1/2 car lead before the next section of traffic came up....
Run 2 was a little more even of a start... we line up next to each other at 75mph.....gave him a little rev and he dropped it. i hit it and took the z06 to 140 till i shut down again cause of traffic... i had a solid 2 cars... we gave each other the thumbs up and went different ways.... i'm sure it would be me playing catch up if it was from a low speed roll or dig... but i def. had the advantage since we were at a higher speed roll...

have you dyno'ed your vette? were you spraying when you ran him?
a stock 600RR can do 10.68@129mph in the 1/4 mile.
it also makes 110whp and weighs say 560lbs with driver. that means that gearing aside it's got 5.09lbs per every hp. To just make the same ratio you'd need to be pushing 650whp. and even then you'd really have to make more than that, since he's got you beat on gearing ratios too.

i wasn't spraying.... i make 447rwhp and 423lbs. i haven't gotten a dyno on the 150shot.... yeah i know it's a 10 second bike... but like i said going from a high speed roll is def where my car shines and the bike isn't at it's strongest.... the higher the speed the more he fell back little by little.... theres no doubt he was going all out...again i think if we started at a lower speed i would be playing catch up for a while.
huh interesting. wonder if he was breaking in, therefore short shifting??
I have an F3 CBR that has an exhaust, and raced a stick shift C6 from a 75mph roll. I walked away from him quite easily. didn't even have to redline.

well i'm 100% it was stock... cause my friend has the same bike and i know what stock exhaust looks and sounds like since we changed his....as far as breaking it in i'm not sure... he was riding up between tractor trailers and crap!!! he had some balls or no brains...
above 80-100 mph most 600's arent that fast.
0-100 if he could ride he would had smoked you.
I did a few roll ons with a worked Z-06 backin 2002 on my 954RR with a few mods, the results were much different. The 954RR flat left the Z-06 standing still.
Fun stuff, I alway dice with the 100K cars when I see them.
Closest 60-140 ever was a GT3, man those are fast.

I believe it! I had an '01 F4i and I would have trouble with bolt-on C5's from 80-90mph rollons up to 140mph or so. The 600's just don't have as much torque to cut through the air at higher speeds. Plus, I weigh about 210lbs too, which certainly doesn't help.
I've stayed ahead of an RC51 that was going balls out down a "Mexican" highway in my bolt-on C5 that only trapped 117mph in the 1/4 mile. Big difference between the bikes and cars is that most non-liter bikes slow up quite a bit above 110-120mph.
