Default MY00 vs. 88' corvette auto

Last night on th.e way home from a buddies wedding, my other buddy and I decided to have some fun on the way homehe had driven his dad 88' 35th anniversary corvette convertible. Anyway after spirited driving home, passing a few slow pokes we lined up on a 1/8 mile or so slightly up hill strip. I figured the tq of the v8 would pull him up that slight incline more easily, however he did have our other fat 300lb or so friend in his car. Anyway we waited for an suv to get out of our way and he say us lined up, he pulls over and im thinking he's gonna say damn kids racing! But to my surprise he says "I wanna watch!" So we went, and my s more or less blew the heavy fiberglass doors off the vette byy a few car lengths. Dunno if this is anything to be greatly proud of, I mean the vette is super old and heavy w. A passenger but regardless we had fun

Super old and heavy? I would assume then you are less than 23 years old?

What would you suppose would happen if you had the 300 lb. passenger in your car? A hint - your car would weigh more than the "super heavy" Corvette. Even with the "heavy fibergalss doors."

Why be so ignorant?

I think he would have had more like a 500 lb passenger to make it even.
At a 500lb difference the vette is around 17-20% heavier.
So maybe "super heavy" was a bit heavy handed, but maybe your post is a bit ignorant too?

Be careful with that 35th vette,
From what I have been reading up, its a rare one.

Does no one have google?

1988 corvette

240hp
330lb-ft
3,279 lbs.

So you beat a car with the same hp and over 700lbs more weight.

WRONG...

s2000: 2700+300=3000
vette: 3200+300=3500

sorry didnt realize 500lb didnt count in car racing.. Sounds like you got a bug up your butt about something, and if you dont think an 88' is old thats a shame. you should see the 80's retro gauges on this thing. calm down

Where is the driver in the S2000? And how can the 300 lb. guy be in both cars at the same time?

And who told you the S2000 weighed 2700 lbs.?

And in 1988, "80's gauges" weren't retro. They were modern. Like your car was ten years ago.
