This wasn't to recent, but I just remembered it and thought I would share.

Drivng on a three lane road with not to many cars around, and I see a regular new WRX make a left and get in front of me then change into the middle lane(I was in the far left lane). I could see him looking back in his mirrors at me so I downshift to second and blow by him with a quick shift to third as I do. We come up to a light, and I look over with my buddy in the passenger seat, and I see a young guy with a girl in the passenger seat and one in the back. The girls were gigling and then the guy looks over and....

WRX guy: Hey you wanna run...
Me: (smirking)...sure...
My passenger to me: dude look at his tires.
Me to the WRX guy: dude your tires are all bald..
WRX guy: Yeah man 4-wheel drive, it's the best..
Me: thinking-(!?!?!?!?! WTF!! does that mean, and what does it have to do with his tires being bald..)..
Now I didn't want to laugh but my passenger was cracking up, and you could see the WRX guy get angry.
WRX guy: I'm ganna kill you (while pointing to his front tire.)
Me: thinking (OK?)

Light turns green and I let him get the jump and I roll out. Hit VTEC in first and good bye WRX. Shift to second and I'm about 2 cars ahead when......
The guy cuts off another car in the right and makes a right turn onto the first street there.

Me and my passenger: WTF!!!
Me: I guess he didn't want to get any more imbarressed in front of those nasty chicks he had with him.

Then we drove off to get some food.

Thankx for reading, I thought that shit was pretty funny.

dude, why call BS. wrx are slow. a stock ap2, is damn near dead even with a stock sti, from a roll. this has been proven many times.

Im not completly stock and have kept up with a sti w/no passengers.

 

Yeah it's pretty even race stock for stock, although they should have the lead off the line. From a roll it's pretty much even until about 70-80mph where the S will start to pull away.

 

You are right, its funny because we did 2 runs both starting at 63-64 right in VTEC

A stock S2K would kill a WRX, this isn't even a close race. Were you thinking he was talking about a STI?
