Default MY04 vs. WRX Wagon

I heading out following my buddies to go celebrate a friends birthday. I noticed a blue wrx wagon just before entering the highway. He had exhaust for sure, and i noticed the gauges on the side also.

I enter the highway and my buddies begin to speed up, and I follow. I see blue lights on my tail the whole time. next thing I know the guy goes over to my left side, and begins to pass me(I'm cruising at 70 at this point). While he passes me his passenger window is open, and the next thing I know he tosses something out and it slams against the side of my car. WTF!!!!! It was a hard hit too, but I have no clue what it was.

At that point I lost it, and began persuit. I won't go into detail of what I went ahead and did, but the guy was close to hitting the wall a couple times. I got in front of him and came to a complete stop on the highway. I was going to get out and hoop his ass, but my girl told me to go. He was saying back at this point, so I slowed down and got next to him. Next thing I know he guns it trying to get away. I was in fourth at around 65 and I didn't bother to downshift. I stayed even until I hit ^K in fourth and I had to get off the gas so I wouldn't fly past him. On off on off, then I just said forget it, and let him go.

I was able to get his plates, and I got a clear look of his face scared shitless.

Luckiley I check the side of my car when we exited and nothing had happened, just a little scuff which came off.

Was I in the wrong for lossing control of myself....probably, but think about how you would feel f someone just randomly tried to damage your S. I figure I gave him a good enough scare to never do anything like that to another person again, so I won't be persuing it any further.

Sorry I'm still very upset, so if it seems like I'm rambling I apologize.

He threw something at your car so you tried to run him into a wall?

What the **** is wrong with you?

i sympathize w/ u, but a scratch on your car would not be a very good defense in court for killing or seriously maiming someone.

HvrZZ was obviouly not in the correct frame of mind. Something similar happened to me a year ago when some highschool kids threw a beer can at my car. I honestly had like a scarface moment (the scene where the guy is dancing with his sister) and found it hard to control myself. I know Hvrzz knows he took it to far but at the time i probably would have acted in a similar fashion

while i agree it may have been a little overboard to try to run the guy into the wall, i would've definitely lost it if someone (FOR NO REASON) threw something at my car.

don't go acting all high and mighty, because we've all lost our temper at one time or another, especially while driving. i know i wouldn't want people juding me as a whole based on the few times i've lost my temper, maybe you guys should take a step back not be so judgemental.

glad you didn't get hurt or go to jail or anything HvRRZ, just be careful

i live in florida where the law lets me use deadly force if i feel that my life was in danger......probably wouldn't do it in this case, but scaring the shit out of that ahole...IMO anyone who throws something at a moving car has no regard for another life..what if it was a cheeseburger and hit you square in the face...killed by a friggin burger? maybe

Well, I think I would do the same... Maybe 6 months ago some asshole threw something at my friends 350z (he was drivin, I was the passenger) and I immediately called the cops and the guy got pulled over 2 minutes after that.

yeah.. i can sympathize, but i think what you should have done was get the guys license and call the cops. although it is pretty hard to keep self control..
