Guys, Before i start i just want to say that i know that our cars dont have low end torque , but this was a matter of pride.

Ok, so i was on my way back from work today, and i ran into a "ricer crew." All young asian kids, there were about 6 in a total of 3 cars. 1 Acura integra GSR, 1 Subaru WRX, 1 Civic Hatch w/ a fart can.

I don't know if any of you reading this will be familiar with Higgins Rd. in IL but it turns into a 3 lane going east.

There happend to be a stoplight ahead and i was in the middle lane behind the civic. The WRX was to my left and the GSR behind the Subaru.

The Civic flew into the right lane(since it was clear) as soon as he saw the light turn yellow. Just to get me to line up with him and the WRX. One thing led to another, the WRX launched, I didn't, the civic didn't. I was in VTEC up to 80 and got owned by both. The WRX got about a car on me and the civic got 1/2 a car.

My pride is hurt, and I dont know what to do. Please....make the pain go away.......

I don't want to say "Troll" but thats what it sounds like from your story, did you here any interesting sounds coming from their engines?

 

Black WRX wagon, white Integra? If so I know those guys. The WRX is not stock, he's TXS stage 3 and runs low 13's 1/4 mile, so you'd have your hands full even if you did launch.

 

Yeah, always assume a WRX is like any other turbo car. Its cheap to mod and will eat you alive with the right mods.

those civic hatchbacks can be amazingly quick with a motor swap.

 

dont worry! its just a race and if they where really modded then u shoud be happy that u hung with them!
