Well, this morning on the way to work (Lombard St. -> N101 freeway onramp for those in San Francisco) there's a Jag sitting behind me at the stoplight before the freeway starts.

I'm always fairly speedy so I take off on the light and I notice that the Jag is keeping pace, he then changes into the left lane, an agressive move since the onramp merges into one lane in the morning past a sweeping left hander after approximately 500-600ft.

Well I'm always ready to play so I vtec it to 9k in the next few gears and take the turn hard, that's when I notice he is pretty far behind me and after I finish the turn, he's really far back since there's no way he can take that turn nearly as fast in his 4dr sedan.

We hit the usual traffic on the golden gate and he takes off again up the hill after the GG bridge... but at that point, what's the use?

Did you catch what type of Jag it was? The XJR (supercharged V8) does the 1/4 around 13.7.

not sure if it was the XJR but it was one of the bigger V8 sedans, not the new smaller X.
