Nice day for a drive in VA
Today was a great day for a drive. Sunny, >60deg. It was time to put the top down of my beautiful S! Well, since I was tied up at work, I didnt get to take a break until the afternoon but it proved fortuitous.
I was about to head to the supermarket for some grub and supplies but on my way out, I decided to take the other way!
Got to this lonely two lane road and guess what? I spy a E46 M3 8). I was a few cars back admiring this person's car (Estoril blue I think) when our line of traffic hits a stop sign. When the coast is clear, he promptly chirps his tires and speeds away.
I take this as a sign and patiently await my turn. Lucky for me, all the other cars on the road make a right and its just me and the M3. So I get on the gas and try to catch up to him. Over some nice rolling hills and twisties, we play cat and mouse. This was great fun because he did not want to get caught. Eyeing what's ahead. Finally, I spy him and see that he was trying to catch a white RX7. Of course I go, awesome.
I was hoping that they might stop over after their run and we would chat and admire each other's cars and maybe even talk about the good roads in this area or schedule a group drive. Unfortunately, this didnt last that long. We hit an intersection and the M3 went one way and the RX7 another. >
Bummer. I follow the RX7 and we were about to get it on again until......
Blue lights! :'( Luckyly it was on the other side fo the street and the guy had already pulled over a bike. WHEW!!!
At this point I go, damn! I cant afford the ticket and slow down and start driving towards the supermarket. I wave to goodbye to my friend in the white RX7 and start going over my grocery list...
