NSX encounter...
Yesterday, as I was about to make a right turn to blast threw my favorite s-turn feeder road onto HWY 59...I see a red NSX in my rear view mirror. Since I still had my stock wheels/tires on from the last track event, I was really going to push it to see if the NSX would play along.

Anyhow, I toe-heal the right turn into the s-turn and floored the gas. This set off the NSX obviously, but I was too busy keeping my eyes on the road to watch the NSX. I finished blazing through the fist s-turn in 2nd gear and was now shifting into 3rd gear vtec comming into the rest of the s-turn. I gained a bit of distance on the NSX because I was occupying both lanes for my driving line...and I think the NSX was trying to keep in his own lane!
Anyway, I catch up to this minivan in the right lane by the beginning of the strait away for the feeder, and in fear that the driver would change into the left lane without the use of his/her signal, I slow down a bit...but the NSX kept his speed and was on my tail. Seeing that the minivan was going to stay in the right lane, and since I did a bit of braking...I decide to get a jump by downshifting into 2nd. As I give gas and throw the shift nob into second...I realize that my speedometer reads 61 MPH! I bounce off the rev limiter a bit, then threw it into 3rd (must have looked like an idiot to the NSX driver). The NSX driver then changes to the right lane, and kicks my ass.
Sheesh...I tried to impress big brother, and ended up displaying careless shifting. Oh well, next time.
