Default Owned... But not by much.

Cars:

Me: 06 Si
Mods: Intake, Header, Exhaust.

Him: 07+ GTI
Mods: Chipped/Turbo Back Exhaust. DSG?

I was at his rear bumper when i shut down, we went about 1/5 mile but I had already been beaten I launched really well for my ability too. (he spun his tires for like 2 seconds.)

I knew he was gonna race me so i rolled on the throttle and shifted at roughly 8100 rpm in first gear, 8200ish in second, 8200ish in third, and shut down high in fourth. I rolled back from 80 down to 40ish and slowly caught up.

I honked three times and started to go but a red truck pulled out a little ways down the road so i just backed off the throttle. I don't think he ever hit the gas that time. I probably would have been owned worse. Anyway, Its not like i always win but i do win often when in a driver's race.

It was def fun and i do a lot of drag racing. I've never autocrossed / road tracked / circle tracked my car and i probably won't until i get an S2000.

I drove down the road and asked him if he'd tell me what kind of mods he had, and he said he was "chipped" with turbo back.

Cliffnotes:
-GTI VS SI
-I got owned.

If you're at his rear bumper, I wouldn't say you got owned. It's not like he put a few Buicks on you.

pardon my ignorance but what kind of engine management is available for the Si's now? last i read kpro still wasn't available...hondata? sorry if i'm just coming across like an idiot, but i am an idiot when it comes to the newer Si's lol

all i know is i/e/rh/kpro rsx-s gets pretty quick. sounds like once you get an EM you'll be able to handle a chipped/TBE gti?

I shamoked a new GTI from a dig. Multiple car lengths by the top of 3rd gear.
