Hey i raced a my friends 97 cobra today, stock vs stock. We went from a 25mph in first gear, and he took me by about 2 cars. For the hell of it we went again from 45mph in third and he just walked pulled about 3-4 cars on me. Its what i expected but hey not bad for an engine half the size. lol

 

cobras are no joke.
I raced a 97 on low boost once and won't be doing that anymore.

 

Yeah Cobras are made for that kind of racing. You've really got to watch out for the new ones too. Not only are they fast as hell in a straight line, but they've got some really mean cornering abilities too.

 

Wow, my tango with a 95-98 Cobra couldn't tell what model to be exact. I know 94-95 tail lights were different but I didn't remember to check. Anyways 3 runs in the hwy from 60mph to 120mph dead even. BUT thats with him having a passenger. Maybe he had a fat GF too. hahaha...

 

Was it modded? This shouldn't have been the outcome.....

 

It's also a given that you MUST be in or at vtec when gunning it in a rolling race...

 

a '03 cobra at 504whp put 4-5 cars on me from 40-140 when i was 384whp. from 40-100 it was only about a car. Thats the terminator though, i don't know the what a earlier one would do to a N/A s2k

 

03 Cobra will put you in your place son. I love the 03 Cobra. The 95-98 GTs aren't fast at all. Why would a Cobra be that much faster? I've seen them run 14.0-14.9et or so at the track with GTs running 15s. BUT its which car you run into that counts. Like here, some S make easy power while others struggle.

 

Lol and to think that is only maybe $1500 in parts or less if you buy used.

Ported blower, pulley, exhaust and tune is 500whp.
