Sorry, not enough new threads

Went to meet a friend out in the sticks, and driving back saw a new dark blue NSX with the bubble headlights turn and go back the way I came, almost turned around and followed him, but he already had a WRX chasing him down...

Played with a 330i which was gunning it through traffic. Came up like a BOH and he had to slam on the brakes two cars ahead of me. Had a girl passenger. Driving into Chicago, traffic slowed him down alot, because he tailgated his way ahead of the pack, only to hit another, slower pack of cars. We all came out clear of traffic, and he hit it. They are pretty quick. I wouldn't worry about a race, but chasing one down is a biyotch I was surprised.

Based on his traffic-dodging driving, if it was a first date, it was his last with her, but my old gf liked it when I drove thru traffic, so maybe he gets lucky Too much traffic to actually race, so no kills, but new respect for the 330i

Heh, all cars a b!tch to chase down in traffic. I remember when I had to drive my brother up to Chicago for school (his flight was cancelled due to 9-11 and classes started in 2 days), there was this 993 Ruf that I wanted to catch up to. The traffic was moving along pretty well, but it still took me a good 5 minutes to finally pull alongside. That thing is gorgeous!

Anyway, those 330 Beemers aren't exactly slouches, though I'm fairly certain our cars can take them without breaking a sweat.

I have no idea where this thread is going, but you're right. There's not much to talk about right now. Oh well.

This environment wasn't all that hostile until you started posting on every thread. I've owned Chevy's, nice cars and trucks, really made well. Didn't they sell like a million Monte's? Quintessential hotrod. Gotta have a V8

TKG, you know I love your car - it's like the M5: subtle yet oh so powerful. Wolf in sheep's clothing, to be cliche.

Like I said, those were my dad's opinions... Not mine. To tell you the truth, the Q45 is ass-ugly from a lot of angles, whereas cars like the S8 and M5 have clean lines from whatever angle you look at it.

And I'm taking a wild guess on this...

But since you own a C32, I thought you may know something, or have a worthwile opinion on the W211 E55 AMG... What do you think of it?

from what the benz folks at my local dealership tell me is that it is geared more towards performance than luxury (even though it is very luxurious)...the ride will be more harsh than the previous E55, it should corner better, brake better, etc....of course it will be faster due to the increase in horsepower, but all other aspects of performance will be improved to match....the sales manager at the dealership recently went to germany for a benz conference and drove one.....he confirmed the above chracteristics....he said it really feels closer to an M5 than the previous model.

benz really wants their AMG models to be similar to BMW's M models....it'll be hard to do without a manual transmission offering, but with so much power in the AMG cars, a manual really isn't necessary....i don't miss it in the C32, nor do i think it would make it a "better" car......besides, most of the times, i'm just holding on for dear life

Cool.

Now my dad better not turn down the E55 and get an M45. I would seriously never talk to him ever again...
