Default Played with a 997 vert non-S

Got on the highway behind him. Semi gets over and we have a clear lane. He gets on it and gets over and slows. I wizz by and guess he is not up for playing. Three miles up the road I am in slow lane behind semi waiting for my exit. The 997 comes FLYING up on my ars. Exit lane opens and away we go. This exit lane has a very nice tight right hander followed by a nice left hander. He was on my ars until the first corner, then he dropped way back.
After we got off we never got a good race. Traffic let leads change. When I lead, he seemed to fall back. When he lead, I was right on his ars. He could not shake me.
Anyway, he was top up and I was top down. He had a chick in the car and I was alone. He ended up turning right from the left lane to try and lose me(silly driving). I think he was a bad driver and did not want his girl to see him lose to a 30K Honda. Especially after I am sure he was talkin smack.
Conclusion: 997 vert non-S with bad driver- S wins
With equal drivers I suspect S wins in corners and 997 wins in the straight (especially high speed straight)

I suspect he was playing with you a little...good run though.

By the way, you misspelled "strength" in your signature.

Yes, if he wanted to, he would have walked you pretty easy if you are stock.

997 non-S vert isn't very quick.

911 Carrera Cabriolet specs:

engine: 3.6L 6-cylinder boxer
power: 325 hp @ 6800 rpm
torque: 273 lb-ft @ 4250 rpm
0-60 mph (manual): 5.0 seconds
0-60 mph (Tiptronic): 5.4 seconds
top speed (manual): 177 mph
top speed( Tiptronic): 174 mph

.. even in automatic form, it would be tough to beat with a stock S.

Boy, do I feel sheepish.

Anyone know his slalom speed? I am sure we beat it.

It is still close enough (at slower speeds) to be off-set by a bad driver.
