Default Porsche 998?

This isn't really a street encounter but a parking lot encounter

I was leaving the movies after watching the rather disappointing Tomb Raider (should have been rated R or X, or even XXX ). Anyways, on the way out I saw a 1994 Porsche 998! What the hell, I had never seen one before. It had a square back end and was kinda strange looking. It had the headlights that weren't really bubbled up from the hood but more settled like ours, only rounder. Anybody know what these go for or any information on them? I doubt there were a lot of them made but this one had a for sale sign on it and I was wondering what it would cost for this sucker. Thanks!

Are you sure it wasn't a 968? How did you know it was a '94 year model?

It had a 'FOR SALE' sign that said it was a 1994 and I could have sworn it said 998 but my friend who was with me says it could have been 968. Either way it was very different and more square (at lease in the rear) than any other Porsche I have ever seen.

Go to www.968.net and see if you recognise the pics. THey also have classifieds. Good car aparently ... 6 speed manuals with stop speed of 280km/h and a hell of a punch... 3 litre 4 cylinder engine from memory...
I was thinking of buying one b4 I bought the type r ... they're a bitch to service tho.

Yup, it was the 968, this is the same back end. I wonder why I never noticed that before... Expensive maintenence is probably why it's for sale.
