But I can't believe some of the disrespect I'm seeing in this thread. Particularly the one who says the S2000 has to be revved high to be launched. As if other Hondas have their power down low or something...???

That guy saying S2K being relatively slow probably has never driven one. Got the opportunity to drive my gf's friends S2K and a week later I was driving my own.

Why does it seem that every S2000 owner gets his panties in a wad over someone saying something negative about the car? Anyone with half a brain who DRIVES the car will immediately recognize the performance and value. The tradeoffs that you have to make in terms of gas-mileage, low-end torque, Japanese badge, luggage space, and so on, are going to automatically eliminate this car from consideration for many drivers. So what?

I couldn't care any less about some ricer wonking on my car because it's not this or that, just like I don't care what the local "amuracan iron" fanatics think about it having only 4 cylinders.

I don't care what they think about this car. Why do any of you?

P.S. This isn't to say that various posts on that thread didn't make excellent points, and clarify some not-so-obvious issues surrounding the competitive environment of the US market compared to that in Europe. Even so, if idiots want to sit around and rag on your car... let 'em!

 

Well you just answered your own question fool.............man. In the time it took you to conceive this little qwip of a statement judging us for talking about the car we wrote our text about the S2k. So basically what amounts to is that you as well as everyone else that waste their time posting here are doing nothing more than what most websites are meant for, amusement. I guess as well that you didnt follow the link to the civic site where this thing originated. If so then you would understand why people are taking the time to crack on them, they are hypocrites. The silly cars have the very same tech. just on a lower level. I never said anything about an F-body sucking or the new blown cobra bowing down to the s2k, just going after the utter BS. IN your P.S. you stated if some idiot wants to rag on your car let them. My rebuttle is if some idiot wants to be an idiot( I guess us in this case) then let them. Seems like you are the one that is really wasting your precious time worrying about someone who is worrying about someone else.
