So tonight, me (170lbs) and my friend (190ish) are headed back to my house with the top down. I take a left turn following a clean brand new looking yellow mustang GT with some sort of exhaust (might be stock note, it was loud) I pull up to a red light with him right next to me.

He doesn't look over so I think nothing of it and just start normally. Then I hear a roar and mash on the gas, having to go through 6000rpms of being a civic (with the weight and all).

We hit the next stoplight and im ready. I can hear him revving (holding it at low rpms) so I rev it up and hold at 6000. Popped the clutch and shot out. Had to steer to keep the rear end from kicking. I pulled about half a car on him right away. He shifts (earlier than me) and that slows him down while I just kept going. I hear him chirp the shit out of second and I just keep pulling. He shuts down.

and before anyone starts talking qt's nobody here has seen a GT hit lower than 13.8 stock at track so magazines can suck my ballz.

 

Thats definatly true. I think that if I couldn't of nailed the launch and landed in vtec the outcome would have been a bit different.

 

+1 on the sucky driver. and as far as the 13.8. who cares, i dont see alot of s2000 drivers hitting those times as well, specially w/ an xtra passenger.
