The new 996 is only 200 pounds heavier, and has 60 more hp and over 100 more lb/ft of torque.....oh ya, it is also a 6 speed....

when i finally decided to slow down, it was
ahead like 4, 5 cars...
he kept going and going and eventually vanished
from my view.

yes...the 2001 996 has 300hp (296 to be exact), and about 260 lb/ft of torque....

the 996tt has 415hp and 415 lb/ft of torque....

Unless you have a SC in your S2K....forget about it...
