Raced a C5 Corvette
ok, first of all, this story involves my S2000 and i was using nitrous. so anyone who thinks that nitrous is rice for whatever reason, i dont care, so please dont trash my thread. this is for people who think its ok or a nice mod to have. Also, for those of you wondering why i still have the nitrous, well, i put it BACK on. I do have my turbo kit...heres a pic
i also have a spearco IC and a Garrett GT30R turbo but i didnt take a pic of them.
but i put the nitrous back on bc i have to wait a couple months to put the turbo on for personal reasons. but it WILL be on soon.
So, back to the C5...last night i pulled on the interstate and on my right pulls up a silver C5 Corvette with blacked out windows. he jumps at me but only seems to floor it for about a second just to see if i would play. i obliged.
i floored it and he proceeded to follow me. we got in front of the one car that was in the way of our 2 lane interstate straightaway. so with no one in front of us, i get my 200lb passenger to yell at him (45 roll) (my voice is gone as i have a sore throat) 
he agress and we roll at 45 with me at a perfect starting point. i already have the nitrous engaged (75 shot) and i beep it 3 times. on the 3rd honk were off with me getting a quick half car, which slowly turned into a full car. i go through 3rd and the lead is the same. as i hit 4th i gain nothing more and its still one full car and i cant see him in my rearview yet but i can see the glow of his headlights behind me. we finally shut it down at 130 with it finishing at that 1 car length lead. i gained no more, and he pulled back none. it was probably one of the closest races ive ever had. he rolled his window down and i got my friend to ask him if it was manual and he said yes. i tried to get him to say if he had any mods but he couldnt understand my friend over the loud exhaust of my car. he appeared and sounded to be stock, but nonetheless, it was a Corvette. hopefully once the turbo's on ill easily take C5's and ill reach to take Z06's down as well.
