Today i raced my friend's modded evo (turbo-back exhaust, intake, dynoflash tuning) on the highway, we started around 65 or so and i pulled on him up until around 100-105 where we let off, I was extremly happy with the top end on the s2.

I also raced a modded STI who had the same mods as the evo, but he also had an engine management system, so just before we ran he turned his boost and changed the mapping on his car. We started from about 65 or so and he pulled me pretty good up till about 105-110 he had about 1- 1 1/2 cars on me.

wish i had the same story on my brothers evo8...we ran from a dead stop and he handed me my ass.. now i know how itll be from a roll...

its cool though...we were both stock..but the evo is hella fast..i gotta give it to em ,..now i wonder how they will do without the turbo ...lol.

 

and i wonder how the s2k will do without the high compression

 

for the record i am dead stock. The reason i pulled on the evo is probably b/c he his car is tuned for 20 psi and seeing how we have not installed the boost controller yet he is still running the stock 19psi. He's running rich.

 

this wouldn't happen to be the 2 guys i met today in ct @ the plainfield exit would it?
if so, i didn't change the map in my car or up my boost.
i had my car road tuned earlier in the day to tune out a knock event, which allowed me to run my boost @ 17-18 psi where it was before i turned it down when initially experiencing knock.
no biggie, just didn't want you to think i'm running something 'special'
i kinda wish we would have had more space ahead of us or maybe been able to run a couple more times.
hgihway pull on the s seems pretty good though.

EVO with those mods should be good for 270-280 awhp @ 20psi.
