Default Raced a Prowler today.

I was on my way to the office and saw a guy driving one up a head of me. As I pulled up along side of him I noticed fuzzy dice and naked lady emblems on the bottom of the fenders. We pacing each other and he slowly was getting accelerating, It was just a matter of time until he dropped the hammer. When he did I was only at about 20 or so in first. As soon a we took of he got the initial jump on me. His car was loud {aftermarket exhaust?}. We raced till about 90 had to stop due to an upcoming light. I edged him by bout two length by the end of the race. What a blast! We pulled into a nearby shopping mall a talked a little. Turns out this guy was looking for a S2000 but didn't want to wait for one and the Chrysler dealer had the prowler sitting on the lot. Next week I will be representing the S2000 in a local Prowler meet as an invited guest. Those Prowler can get up and go. I thought they were all show no go. I not even a good street racer and maybe with a good driver in an S2000 the out come would have been better. I just can't wipe the grin off my face this being my first real kill and all. Only other race that I won we car that were seriously outmatched.

Prowlers may be slow, but they are a roadster and look good. Good run.

Heavy and slow maybe. Cool design.... YES. I'm glad to see U.S. car makers tiring to bring a little excitement to driving and sad to here it is going out. Sure you have got you Z06 and Vipers but nothing that looks like a Prowler. I ember when I was a kid and they showed the prototype. I immediately started the Prowler fund {a coffee can at the front door of my parents house that people put change in} after about a year and a few cans later it became my TV. and stereo fund. That Prowler would have taken allot of cans. Man what was I thinking.

I agree, prowler is a beautiful roadster. I watched Amercian Graffiti last week. I'm just a young guy (28), so I missed that whole era. I'd be up for a new era of beautiful roadsters and drive-ins... American, import, etc.

The only problem is that I live in the DC area. No drive-ins around here because of the cold seasons. Man, sometimes I miss living in Hollywood.

I just saw that Panoz Roaderster (Esparante??) in a mag today. Pretty sweet.

I think the Prowler is an Intrepid with different clothes. Same engine and chassis, ain't it? Saw one today at the car wash, purple. Makes me laugh just to type that someone bought a purple car. In all fairness, they look neat and turn heads.
