Default raced a type-r

A friend of mine has the integra type-r and he only has a few mods (intake, exhaust, header, fuel pressure regulator.)I only have apex-i exhaust and aem cai. We didn't do an all out race because there was a decent amount of traffic on the highway but we did do a 3rd gear start and we were almost neck and neck most of the time, there were times where I got a good jump and pulled on him but not as much as I thought I would. How could this be?, the s2000 w/ 240 h.p. rwd and the type-r w/ 200 h.p. fwd. My friend told me that he's raced s2000's before and they only started to pull on him after around 140 mph, which is where 6th gear came in handy I guess.(we only got up to around 130 mph due to traffic). Also, what are some honest average times that people have run in the 1/4 mile with fairly stock cars? Please Let me know

Did you have the top up or down?

Don't forget that he weighs less.

And this belongs in street encounters.

Dude, that sucks. I hate when a bunch of useless other cars get in MY way when all I want to do is race a buddy of mine up to 140 on a highway.

well the teggie is lighter so it may or will be able to make up for the difference in power but theoretically your top speed will be higher

Stock ITRs are mid 14 second cars.

Couple that with I/H/E and a much lighter body than an s2k, it could be a pretty close race.

Also remember that 240 hp doesn't mean anything with peaky cars like the s2k.

If you're not constantly in the optimal rpm, then you're not making sh1t power. If all you care about is highway runs and 1/4 mile times, then I suggest you get something equipped with an LS1,2,6, or if you can afford, 7.
