I agree With speedemn....car to car the 350Z is faster even the 287hp ver.

Ive raced 2 Z cars....who both SMASHED ON ME!!!! 30mph role and by the time we hit 130 it was like 10 cars past me AT LEAST!

mind u it was a carbon widebody with some mean ass exhaust.

In general i think a new 350Z vs a S2000 stock will be the death of the S2000. Even turbo'd they give me a decent run with just intake and exhaust. If someone can actually drive one, they're fast as hell. The TQ numbers soo much better then ours and they're not the heavy for how big they look.
Smashed on you? You're turbo'ed dude!

07's are 307hp at the crank I believe? Also...would an s2k with just 4.56 gears (or maybe 4.77) be able to take one of the 06-07 Zs?
06 and older 350Z coupe vs S2K is pretty much a drivers race. On average I would probably give the edge to the Z though, especially above 100mph. 07 Z is certainly a faster car than any stock S2K, but with gears I imagine it will swing the other way.

i roll-raced a G35 one time. did about 3 runs and each time was the same. we would start and i would just slowly pull through each gear we went through. by about 115mph (started about 45mph) i had about 1/2 carlength's space between my back bumper and his front bumper. pretty sure he was stock so me vs. a stock Z (lighter than the G35) should be a dead-even race

I don't know why so many people seem to have problems with 350Z's. I've never lost a race to one before, not to say that 100% of the time the S will win, but maybe other's got outmatched, or outraced, or outclassed?

For sure he was stock excepting wheels, maybe he wasn't that good of a driver.
want to change that? Im local....2005 350z.

im just being friendly... mines a revup though. With just tps and intake it put down 261 rwhp and now it has a y pipe and exhaust.

You want to race an stock N/A S2000 against your FI 350Z?

No need to waste my gas, we all know the outcome of that one

Yes the Z car that beat me was a full widebody carbon and very likely was FI. It ran by me soo hard it was insane! and he took me in the sweeping corner at about 130 I was on a perfect set of falken Azenis RT615's newly broken in... My car just started slippin front and rear to the outside lane while his stayed planted. His car was better handling....faster in every way and stopped faster then my S2K. It wasn't a drivers race at all. IDK how much he had done but i've never had a Z go by me and smoke me in everyway like this one did.

Don't put down the 350Z too quick guys. Hell my 300ZXturbo would run on my S2000 even for handling it was as good, it just didn't have the fast turn in of the lighter S2000.

I've raced shifter Karts, Rotax, KT100(yamaha) Formula 2000 open wheel cars and even done a lap in a toyota atlantic forumala car (back when they were the N/A 265hp MR2 Motors. I would say ....he most likely wasn't out driving ME.....i dind't stand a chance. I exited the corner perfectly smooth with the rears just starting to hop out sideways (130mph) and did everything i could to keep in his draft zone while exiting hoping to draft and catch him......there was no hope. A few short races made it cystal clear that the Z car was gonna OUT EVERYTHING me.

Even a intake/exhaust and chipped Z car runs hard on my turbo S2000. Thats the fact of the matter. If anyone disagrees its because they've raced Z car DRIVERS WHO SUCKED. Go drive one, they're pretty damn quick. I beat em in general but its not like i just kick their ass thats for sure. Stock the Zcar would hammer the S2000 IMO. If i was goin on a race track stock for stock i'd pick the Zcar depending on the track, a highhorsepower big open track with sweepers it would be much easier to go fast in. Tounge (a lame kind of racing imo) sure the slender S2K has an advantage.

But hey why don't u race me in your FI-Z car, I'll give you a run lets do it from a stand still where you should have the advantage even
