Was on the way to work this morning , pretty much in a rush as usual and i encountered a nice white ap2 , i believe it was an 06 with the top down . My top was up but my windows were cracked. we had a few short runs and by the middle of third i was pulling. We talked for a min and he said he was stock . All i have is a megan header and k&n fipk intake.

 

nice man..u should get a nice exhaust and test pipe to compliment the header. How do u like the header btw

 

i THINK the ap1 will pull on an ap2 due to the gears. the ap2 tops out faster in the 140s or 150s i believe. plus your top was up, thats a huge difference.

 

No, top up makes almost no difference until 90 and then only slight.

 

how do you know this? i would've thought once you hit 60 or so.

top down top up when racing i think it really matters..because i had couple races and i feel the differences too..but how much did you pull on him probably not much since you only got Meagan header and intake?

 

I actually pulled about a car , the megan header feels pretty nice , it really smoothed out the vtec engagment and i just got an invidia tp and exhaust but its not installed yet , i cant tell 100% if i like the megan header bc i liked that kick at 6k when vtec came around , now its just smoother and changed the sound of vtec , but im sure its maken a little more power so ill keep it .

 

I did a car on car with my friends wrx. Top down gave him less than 1/2 length (less far behind) to 110. I was surprised. It does make a difference obviously but not as much as one might think. There was a vid posted of two s2ks diong some runs top up and down posted a while back.

 

Another pointless thread. Honda is wrong and they never say the truth.
