Default Ran a Lightning !

Did 3 runs on the way home from the gym with a Lightning today.

1st- I was doing 55mph, slowing down to 47 and dropped in 2nd. Did the honks and we both gun it. Immediately I jumped approx. 1 car on him and shifted to 3rd and jumped another 1/2 car and stay that way until the end of 3rd where he quited and later explained that his radar detector went off.

2nd- He didn't seem to satisfied with the 1st result so he followed me. I gave him another chance and take him to an open road. This time I was doing 40mph and dropped in 2nd, honked, we both gun it and again I jumped approx 1/2 car, shift to third and noticed that he started pulling back and by the end of 3rd he has about 1/2 car on me and I decided to quited cuz the road was too dark and we both can't see far enough.

3rd- This is even worse. After the talks & share a fews thoughts about both cars ( I used to own a 03 Lightning before the S). We decided to did a last run before we head home. The road we chose this time has a limited straight line so we both gun it early. I gunned the S at 30mph in second and it didn't seem to pull at all. The lightning of course, pulled right way and quited when he's 1car 1/2 ahead of me. Im not even finish 3rd yet. I shouldn't have roll at 30mph.

Facts : We both stock with a passenger.
His is an 02 , mine = 01
45-50mph rolls in 2nd makes all the different.

When I got home that day, I noticed that my hood was not shut. Dam honda dealer probably forgot to shut it ( car just has a scheduled services earlier that day). I was thinking to myself I could have got kill if the hood pop out and slam in the windshield. But then again, this also mean I get a lot more air in the airbox as Im accelerate. Maybe that's why I was able to pull on him the first runs.

Lol your hood had nothing to do with it. Thats not how it works. You pulled because you were into your powerband. As you should pull on a stock lightening.

Consider you just escaped death this time. Had the hood popped open during a run, you would've been
