A guy I've met a few times was near hwy100 tonight.

My fiancee was off doing a wedding, and most of my friends were out of town, or at a birthday party, or whatever else was going on, so I went down to cruise for a bit.

Tons of people out there tonight, and got in more than a handful of little encounters. I ran into Andy (he has an 04) and we cruised around together most of the night.

We had several chances to line up at stoplights, and so of course we had some runs. We had 4 stoplight runs. Every run I pulled 5 cars on him to 95 or so.

He wanted to run me from a 20mph roll and a 40mph roll. We did both of those as well. From 20-100 I pulled almost 5 cars. From 40-100 I pulled about 3 or 4 cars.

On the way home we did a 65mph roll on the freeway. I started in 4th, and he started in 3rd. (i could have started in 3rd) Starting at 65mph, I pulled very slowly. As soon as he shifted to 4th, I started to pull hard. By the time I went to 5th at 105mph I had about 1.5 cars on him.

I did this exact same run with an ap1 (aquatic.... Keith) during freshwater tour. And it yielded the exact same results. (and keith had a passenger. luder94's wife)

Next will be some video of some more fun runs. (he's already swearing he's gonna get 4.57 gears. )

now this is one ap2 i've run with my gears, and it was the same outcome as the ap1's i've run. but more runs with other drivers would be needed to continue any conclusions based on my gears.

Yeah videos would be good, as with those 13.6 runs that you talk about.

Otherwise, you have as much cred. as LasVegas.

 

i've already posted timeslips on occasions when i've claimed times for certain runs, etc. or video on some occasions when others have disbelieved. i've been here almost 4 years. i have enough credibility to those on the forum that are actual contributing members.

if you don't believe me, the world doesn't end, and not to be insulting, but i really don't care.

Oh, and ignore MrGTR...he has the most ungodly pessimistic view on the S2K, since its a Honda and all.

whether u did 13.6 or not doesnt really matter to me... all i know is any car with a lower final gear should accelerate faster. period. So i dont doubt you putting car lengths on other s2000's. Good job man, hopefully, i'll b getting the gears myself. later
