Ricer encounter...
I was driving home the other day minding my own business. I pull up to a light and there is tons of traffic all around me. Its rush hour and im on a 4 lane busy road. I hear what seems to be a rev, all the way up bouncing off the limiter. I look at all the cars around me and they are all regular cars (mini-vans, Civics, altimas, etc) So i thought someone was going the other way and missed a gear or somthing.
I take off slowly and the car behind me stays on my ass. I was thinking to myself "well if your in that big of a rush ill get over". I got over and the car behind me pulls a hard right into the same lane, I can hear him bouncing off the rev limiter. Im thinking to myself "wtf is this guy crazy, its rush hour!"
He eventually finds a gap and flys up next to me in a low gear trying to get me to race. Keep in mind were in rush hour and there are carsabout 40 feet in front of both of us. I look over and he is giving me a ricer stare. He is in a mid 90s maxima with cleared corners, steelies, has a huge wing, fart can, and euro tails. We are rolling at about 35 and he just decides to floor it? He starts inching away and im thinking to myself "why is this guy trying to race a 13 second car with an 18 second car. He about hit the car in front of him.
I continue to drive the speed limit and he keeps trying to race me. About 15-20 min later of revving up next to me he gets the hint that I dont want to race and does about 60mph into the gas station and nearly hits another car.
Why do ricers act like that? Putting other people in danger during rush hour. Trying to race a car thats OBVIOUSLY alot faster. Driving like an idiot. I just dont get it

was this recently? if so i'd add winter weather to the long lists of reasons why that kid is retarded.
i got crap like that in my other car, stupid high school kids trying to fake race on a crowded street thinking they're hot sheet with there new old car and an intake. one time (in my mp62 supercharged celica gts) i had this "kid" following me around (in a vw golf) and revving me all over. we eventually lined up at a light. took off normal then gunned it hard to the speed limit +5 and he was about an mile behind me (literally). of course without fail he is doing way over the speed limit and inevitably catches up and proceeds to do a rolling rev at me AGAIN. i was like, are you freaking kidding me, the only way the race would be close is if i mis-shifted to REVERSE. he continues to follow me around for another 5-10 minutes then buzzes off. i used to always get morons like that, others that want to race in the rain, or even more that want to race in traffic (we'll see who wins the 0-20 foot race).
Being fresh out of high school, I think kids just like to see HOW MUCH faster our cars are than theirs. Used to be a VW driver myself, and I think it was hard for us all to come to terms with the fact that our cars are SLOW.

but, being a ricer is usually a sign someone is stupid..
