It's strange, I haven't seen a ricer in Sacramento that is brave enough to take on the Mighty S2k (well except for this one guy in a Supra that had some coating on the paint that made it look like there was glitter all over the car). Everyone else kind of bows down to it. (Man I wanted to see what this looser in the supra could do, but we were in traffic).

The 5% which you speak of...I know what you're talking about...it's the cars with a good and solid job done on them and they look clean. Since it's clean, you can't really call it rice can you?

BTW i'd like to point out that i'm not trying to make this a racial thing by calling it "rice". I am asian and i hate rice *Edit:as in cars*. I've also seen the most riced out cars driven by white people.

Yeah, I never really got the term myself or where it exactly originated, but I use it because I have heard it being used so many times and am just accustomed to using it for these type of posts, sorry if it offends anyone, I don't mean it. I guess you cant call cars that have actually done a good job in enhancements "rice", but they will still have elements of "rice" such as huge spoilers, exhausts, and stuff like that

Rice-A very nutritious grain that is a staple of the people of south and south east Asia.

Rice Rocket- A sports car from an Asian country

Rice'd- A gaudy overdone element or elements on a rice rocket

Other rockets-
Crotch rocket- usually depicts sport racing motorcycles

Noodle rocket- An Italian sports car

Borsht rocket-A German sports car

I'm Indian, and I like rice (didn't so much when I was younger), but they don't produce nice Indian cars in India yet.

Cayenne.....the Gyro's rocket would have to be Greek as that is Greek food. I think you are right about the origin of Rice rocket. I was just defining the current use of the term.

In India the only India produced car that I know of is a Maruthi which makes a small hatchback and a small van. There is also an Indian made Mercedes Benz but of course that is just where it's made, it's not of Indian origin. There is the engineering talent, but not a need or much use for sports cars in India. The designer or the new 350z look is Indian, but not in India.

I guess there was an Indian sports car it'd be a rice rocket too.

What would an Australian sportster be called (I know these exist)...Maybe a Kangaroo rocket?
