so im driving to work and its a nice day and the tops is down, i come to a red light and across the way headed toward me is the riciest civic ive ever witnessed, its got the evo body kit (with no fog lights in the holes!) blue window tint and 15" spoked wheels, as soon as he lays eyes on me he revvs the crap out of the car, kinda sounded like my vacuum cleaner, i didnt even aknowledge him as i drove by, why such a lack of respect from the lower class???

 

Sounds like a swap, either he wanted to race or maybe he wanted your attention...

Lower class? What do you mean by that? You and I both drive an S2K, not some high-end exotic. That being said, I think he was trying to get your attention. I wouldn't call that a sign of disrepect. It's like me revving (not that I would) at an Enzo who happens to pull up next to me. I'm not disrepecting the Ferrari; I just want to hear it roar.

 

he wasn't saying the S2000 was some exotic. but a civic is a lower class of car than an S2000. in pretty much every category you can think of. unless of course you're in the "storage space for groceries" class.

and 99% of the time, it's some ricer revving like a tool. at least in my experiences. trying to act cool or something, who the hell knows.

 

i know the s2k is definitly not a ferrari, but when a ricer pulls up on me, id rather him be mature and talk cars with me, not try and act better than me, just my opinion, i love a good street encounter, but there are ways about getting someones attention and being an idiot, i guess the idiocy will never change

 

Oh man, this story reminded of the car I had revving at me this weekend. Some guy had an old toyota camary, badly tinted windows, fart pipe, and debadged. You could still see Toyota Camary in the paint color difference, and he had rust above the fendors eating through the body.

And this guy wanted to race me! I didn't bother, it was just too pathetic.
