Merging onto the interstate, I noticed that there were several cars well behind me so I set my cruise control and settled back for the ride. A few seconds later, I had a racer on my left revving at me. I ignored the jerk. Evidently, he didn't like that I ignored so he threw an object at me and then accelerated quickly. At that moment, an unmarked state trooper hit his lights and pulled up next to me. He motioned for me to roll my window down and then yelled for me to follow and then yelled something else that I couldn't understand. He then punched it and pulled over the car that challenged me. I pulled over behind the trooper while he yanked out the two young males and handcuffed them. The trooper then approached me and explained that he witnessed the whole thing. He asked that I be a witness against the other driver for throwing the object at my car. The trooper went on to explain that he held back momentarily to see if I was going to race. Once he saw that I igorned the challenge and the other occupant throwing the object at me, he lit us up. As we sat there and waited for the outcome, the trooper explained that the other occupants had warrants for failure to appear in court for other charges. The passenger, who actually threw the object (soda can) at me, had an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault against a minor. Looks like I was in the right place at the right time doing the right thing. BTW, he missed me with that soda can. The wind took it over the top of my car.

 

 

Cool story. I hate when POS try to stare me down into a street race.

This is the best kill I've heard on the street encounters!! I hate a**holes like that. It's a good thing you didn't race them otherwise you could of been joining them in the pokey.

if you did take off i would have said i was trying to get the license plate because they threw something at my car, I had a similar incident with some minors, i wanted to rage all over the 4 kids but was able to restrain myself after visually inspecting my car and cussing them out.
