Default Rockfalls Raceway

Ok guys, I know it ain't the best but here it is anyway...

1st run-

R/T: .583
60': 2.369
330: 6.262
1/8: 9.504
MPH: 77.12
1000: 12.306
1/4: 14.704
MPH: 94.01

R/T minus by 1/4 mile time give me a good 14.1 on this first run.

2nd run-

R/T: 1.138
60: 2.402
330: 6.467
1/8: 9.909
MPH: 72.20
1000: 12.846
1/4: 15.296
MPH 92.24

R/T minus by 1/4 mile time give me a good 14.1 on this second run.

3rd run-

R/T: .723
60: 2.361
330: 6.500
1/8: 9.806
MPH: 75.83
1000: 12.644
1/4: 15.066
MPH: 93.29

R/T minus by 1/4 mile time give me a good 14.3 on this 3rd run

4th run-

R/T: .210
60: 2.398
330: 6.258
1/8: 9.487
MPH: 77.35
1000: 12.824
1/4: 14.670
MPH: 94.50

R/T minus by 1/4 mile time give me a good 14.4 on this 4th run

My S was getting way too hot including the weather, also I had to drive 1.5 hrs to get to Rockfalls raceway and stage up right away so that's that. For those who are wondering what rpm I'd launched from, it's 5800-6000rpm cuz I couldn't really focus on the rev plus keep my eyes on the christmas tree light. These are my time so I'm not complaining, best I'd hit was 13.9 but I couldn't do it this time around... Let me know what y'all think.

My mods are Injen intake, DC SS header, Tanabe catback. Went with 92 Octane, stock 16" with stock Potenza. Gotta love the potenza....

Also went with REDLINE racing motor oil

Hate to be the one to break this to you but your reaction time isn't factored into your 1/4 mile ET. That timer starts after you trip the timing lights, not when the tree goes green.

Do you have any mods that may have unknowingly lost you some power? The reason I ask is because your MPH is way down on some of those runs.

Edit: Just noticed you listed mods in your 2nd post. I was thinking maybe one of those ebay "special" intakes.

Let me change the topic, "Hey guys I ran at the track today and I sux at driving period"... Lots of Evo hitting 14.3 on the clock, one srt4 hit a 12.4... There were tons of 240sx, a couple of 'em with sr20 motors and hitting 13.4-12.9.

I'd noticed that too but it could be my Tanabe or DC header, no other mods lefted beside my Injen cai... I know I'd hit every shift almost close to perfect, first run was the only time I'd mess up cuz going from 2nd to 3rd I'd slipped.

what was the temperature today? and the track elevation? even a stock S2000 can have a hard time breaking faster than 14.0 in heat or humidity.

you definitely don't seem to be running very strong. your trap speed is REALLY low. you ran a 13.9 once? what was your trap on that run?

what's REALLY killing you is your 60' time. 2.3 and 2.4 is a terrible 60' time. that means your launching was horrible. even so you should have still been low 14's with those launches. since you were much higher my guess is you're losing a lot of power for some reason (heat and humidity?) or your shifting isn't exactly fast.

It's probably from the heat and humidity, drove my S there and lined up right away from a 1.5hr drive. Launch at 5800rpm-6000rpm, anything else I'm not sure of but my shift from gear to gears are almost perfect. You're right about the horrible 0-60 ft, I couldn't get it any better than that cuz I'm already launching at those rpm like I'm suppose to, maybe if I'd rev'ved it up a bit more than that 0-60ft would improve slightly. Must be that I'm losing power somewhere but I have no idea, what would anyone recommend doing to improve this hp lost or to correct it? I know that the last run where I'd hit 14.6 that when I'd launched at 6000rpm the tires grabbed at around 7300-7500ish rpm, that' was my best run so I'm clueless on anything else. Maybe throw in some 110 octane racing gas? Any help would be great, I need to improve on whateva it is to get my S at low 14. Oh and on that 13.9 second, I'd minus my reaction time but I guess that's wrong so it's not really 13.9 I guess...

1st: What size rims do you have?
2nd: Race gas (110 octane or whatever more than 93) will do NOTHING for your car.
3rd: I launch at 6.5-7k. It bogs too much if I launch lower.
4th: We really need some elevation and temperature
5th: YOUR DC HEADERS ARE LOSING YOU POWER
6th: Cool down your car more next time
7th: You might want to do a ECU reset::: Look under your steering wheel on the left side there's some fuses... pull the 3rd fuse from top to bottom on the right side (It's a red 7.5 amp fuse). Leave it off for for a minute, then plug it back in. While you're doing this, have your key inside the ignition but not turned (when you open your door, it should beep with the fuse on and stop beeping when you take out the fuse). This might help you a little bit.
