Cool Roll on run with "Magazine" S2

Whats up guys, i originally posted as HondaHead42o, but who knows what happened to that account, i cant log in. Anyways. I wanna start off by saying, im sure all of you have seen the New Hondatuning magazine and the Yellow S2 on the cover. Well the owner sold the car to the new owner of which i met, and ran last night.

SSSOO!, im out with my buddy last night and were cruising around a few spots see if anything will come of the night. Its chilly so i figured it would be nice to catch something. We finally get to the Stake n Shake on Kendall drive which appeared to be the only thing "poppin". As i pull up i see that Yellow S2 on the cover of Honda tuning, i knew the previous owner so im like "Hey, omar is here", Come to find that the car was sold to this guy.

Well, enough on that, sooo, This ap1 has ITB's, I/H/E, Standalone ECU, Gears & Clutch, and supposedly some internals, who knows, the only excuse i'll give buddy, is that the car is on 19's. It was said this ap1 dynoed 250whp and that was backed up by a few people. As for my Ap2, Intake & a Singleexit exhaust with Gears n a clutch. So i asked this guy if he wanted to try it out. He wouldnt go from a dig cause of his rims, so we went from a roll in first and a second.

We roll out to this empty ass road and like 5 cars were behind us to watch the run. Honk Honk Honk, were off in first, BY the end of my third gear, i had to have atleast 4 cars on this guy. I dont even know what to say to that. He pulled up and said someshit but my car is too loud to even grasp what he said. He downshifts and wants to go second. Apparently, he liked to jump the gun, i let him, he punched it a split second before me but were off, i throw 3rd gear and just started to take off on him, i didnt even wanna throw 4th because, well, i personally felt it was pointless and we werent on the BEST street.

All in all, i have no idea as to how i put that big of a gap, but i did, this guy supposedly drives n SCCA tho I dont know how true that is. W.e tho. Just another Kill for me. Hehe, Thanks for reading.

Nice kill. Sounds like a couple of possibilities.

1. It isn't putting down 250 now.
2. Your driving ability is somewhat superior to your opponent's.

Nice run.

off topic a bit:
How do you like the gears in your ap2? I haven't heard much from ap2 owners with gears. Is it a must buy mod like it seems to be for the ap1? Sorry for the off topic comment, but you have piqued my interest with your good race.

Man, to be honest, there RIDICULOUS short, IMO. BUUUTT, i love it, and i coupled it with a flywheel. When i got the car back the mechanic says to me "I promise, i only punched it once, but HOLYSHIT this thing is fast". I asked him, "but havent u installed 4.77 in other s2's?" He said yes but none of them had the clutch set up i have, and he said it just spins beyond fast. I have the Single plate exedy clutch which comes with a rather light flywheel. The drive IS a bit harsh, but i dont complain about much.

If you can't shift fast (which for some reason, some people cant), dont bother with the mod IMO. But for me personally, im rather stock and i street race everyweekend, and these gears have me whoomping on every other motor car.

Very interesting... Pretty much what I expected you to say about the gears being short unfortunetly. I use my car primarily as a daily driver and secondly as a fun car. I keep fighting with myself about the practicality of gears... oh well...

Your set-up sounds pretty good though. What else are you planning on doing?

You could aim for middle ground and get the 4.56 gears. Better performance but some highway driveability.

With 19's and your clutch/gear setup I can see why you would pull on him like that... I'm sure you're shifting better than him also
