Default rsx-s

sooo how fast really would an rsxs be with hondata, race header, intake, and exhaust?

a buddy of mine has another friend that wants to race me. i'm gona do it reguardless but i just wana know if i'd stand a chance or not... i'm basically stock except intake/exhaust. which i dont think adds a lot of power on our cars :T

any input is appreciated!

from a launch drivers race with your mods, top up, no passengers, no spare and a 7k clutch drop and you should get him

hondata, race header, intake, and exhaust on a type S is going to give you a lot of trouble. your ONLY chance is from a launch. from a roll he'll likely eat you for breakfast.

I've never seen an NA (assuming we're not talking about increased displacement) RSX-S run under 13.8 in the 1/4. That's slightly faster than the average S2k driver, but slower than our best stock times.

I know this, because there used to be RSX-S fanboys who came over to visit our Celica site. Things maybe have changed since (this info was as of a year ago), but I'd bet you could take him.

I do agree with Wisconsin though... going from a roll could only help him.

club rsx has quite a few RSX-S's into the 13's. especially the new 05's are starting to see 13's easily n/a. i think the fastest n/a RSX they have is 13.0

I dont know if this information is too late or not, but i have intake, hondata kpro, toda race header and pit exhaust and some other suspension stuff that prevents me from having massive wheel hop, but anyways, my friend who owns a s2k (bone stock) and we ran twice, first off a role and when i hit vtec i basically pulled pretty hard on him, then when we ran from a stop and at the start he pulled but when i hit vtec i started to pull away, hondata is a hella mod for the rsx-s, but if the guy cant drive then you basically can beat him

By modded rsx-s I mean intake/exhaust/header/hondata

Racing from a roll is like masterbation, no matter how good it feels......it's not the real thing. From a roll it's a drivers race, like stated above most modded RSX driver's are in the 14s. With like 2% able to hit high-mid 13s.

From a stop it's not even a contest. The modded rsx-s really has 2 good gears, 2nd and 3rd. If you look at a dyno of a modded rsx-s done in 3rd/4th gear the higher rpm's (8600rpm) see a drop off in hp/tq due to the stock cams not being able to carry power that high.

My 02' RSX-S dyno'd 198whp/142tq with intake/exhaust/header/hondata. A stock s2k will put down anywhere from what? 198~205?

Yeah, I know there was some redesign recently... was there an engine/tranny change for 05?

I should go stop in at club rsx... one might end up being my daily driver in a year or two.
