I was coming home last nite crusing on 175 eastbound TOP DOWN (as always).
This white RSX-S in the left lane slows down to match my speed.
(I guess he saw me in his rear view mirror? or side view mirror?? )

An Asian guy with a gf(?) in the passenger seat starts to TOTALLY check out my S2000 as I slowly pass him. (They never seen a Asian dude in S2000 before??)

At first I didn't know he wanted to play but you know how those kids in CIVICS and Integras are. They try to take as much as advantage they can.

He didn't even give me a second to react or anything. He just droped a gear and there he went. Doing 80-90mph already when I was crusing 70mph in 6th gear.

I'm like "oh....... sh*t" I dropped to 3rd and by the time I finish 4th I got close to his ugly tail and when I shifted at redline to 5th I was a car length ahead of him and he stayed in my left side view mirror and the OBJECT in the mirror began to looks further and further

When I realized my ODO was reading "137mph I had to shut down.
and the guy in the RSX was... (Hmm.. I guess he gave up?)

I live out in the country and this was my first encounter agaisnt another import
(a LOTA Stangs and Trans AMs around here)

Is the base RSX pretty quick?? I'm thinking about buying one for my 2nd car.

Base ones are not....the type-s has 200hp with a torque band more even than ours. They are quite fun cars to drive. I'm starting to see quite a few of them, but thank goodness none of them are in a playful mood when I see them.

Thats one of the first cars I raced after breaking in my s. A friend of mine has one set up like a type R and had an ijen short ram which gives them 18.2 to the wheels (supposedly). Raced on the hywy and from a stop. On the hywy he was in second at 55 and I just floored 3rd @55 and by the end of 3rd I was a car ahead and pulled about 3 more cars by the time I was in 5th. From a stop with a 7k launch I pulled 5-6 cars the time I shifted to 3rd . I hadapassenger where he had none, and I was stock at the time. The type s was still pretty quick though.

Definitely NOT scared of losing... even if it is the slim chance of losing to a RSX-S.

Just Curious, but does anyone else think that the RSX bares a strong(not in a good way) resemblance to a Chevy Cavalier?

A friend of mine asked me what the new Acura was and I said are talking about the RSX? He said yeah, the one that looks like a cavalier and it just got me thinking how right he was.....

I test drove a type S once and it felt really "floaty" in 1st gear when you floored it. Like the front end would sway back and forth and it felt scary when you floored in in 1st gear. Definitely not a feeling I liked. Had to try to keep it going straight.
