So my friend thinks his 2005 rx8 is a supercar....hes been telling me to race him for a couple months now, so i did.....on the way home from the beach last night bording the highway...but anyways....im in third sittin at about 4500 rpm on the on-ramp, hes in second at about 6000 rpm.....he took off and then i did....with me in third i had to let off trying not to hit him, then i passed him when i got the chance, topped third and started pushing fourth....at about 105 he let off..I was ahead 5-7 car lengths..i signaled to take an exit and he went on down the highway......Rx8's are nice and all.....but they are'nt a supercar and certainly arent an s2000...

 

i dont like rx8 at all.. never even liked the look

 

nice kill, its not even funny how easy it is to pull on those cars.

my buddy has a rsx type-s with I/H/E and with 2 other passnegers and pulled on a RX-8 lol.

ive seen some pretty nice rx-8 with like a simple lip kit,slammed with work wheels. not that bad.

 

you can make them look pretty good. one of my RX8 customers has a black one lowered on bronze TE's with the Mazdaspeed kit and it looks hot as hell.

now to just solve that rotary problem.

id love one with a LS2 in it.

 

the rx-8 is a total let down.

 

LSx RX8 would be hot as hell. i'd drive one in a heart beat. 2 more seats than the FD, and IMHO better styling as well.

 

2 more seats = not a real sports car. The FD and FC were the true RX sports cars, the RX8 is just a bastard child from who knows where. I've seen only females driving them around in my town, one painted the break calipers hot pink. That's right, hot pink.

i have a chance to buy a RX8 rolling chassis....and i know where to get a 6.0 LS2....hmmm. 400whp, 4drs and 2800lbs. yo yo ma.

 

Rx8's are really fun to drive from what i've found. Sure, they're not very quick but the linear powerband is paired with a very nice suspension setup. A few months ago i found myself driving one through a nice set of sweepers and before i knew it the car had allowed me to build ( a good ammount of) speed in a very "linear" way which was really nice.

That being said i'll never own one. The interior looks nice but i find it awkward, the back seats remind me of those in a s13 240, and not the fastback either. After math classes, I definately don't want something powered by trigonometry lol
