so why are you bringing it to this thread?
Sorry, didn't realize this was only a strictly S vs. GTO thread.

We weren't arguing in the other thread, we were simply discussing which car is quicker. But since this is your thread, I'll stay on topic.... Nice death.

Arguments happen when people have differing opinions. Such as thinking one car is faster than another...kinda like what causes a lot of street-races

from a 30mph to 100mph, I gave a ride to the GTO guy and he said he loved my torque b/c it came in a lot sooner then his GTO
sounds like he just needs to learn to launch his car. the LS2 (or LS1 for that matter) makes big torque in the low rpm's and plateaus throughout the revs. if he were actually getting traction off the line, he'd feel the torque before a turbo car would, regardless of how soon your turbo is fully spooled (although i see you're making about as much torque as a stock GTO on the right boost setting). which begs the question - at what rpm are you fully spooled? i can totally see how a 4WD stage STi would seem like it has more torque off the line simply b/c it is lighter and gets way better traction than the GTO.

needless to say, props to the OP for trying to put up a fight...sometimes its not all about winning, but seeing how well you can keep up

^+1, LSX tq is like the hand of god. It just hits, and keeps on pushing. I have posted dyno's before, 1800-6000, it stays within about 25# of 300rwtq.

The torque curve of a turbo car always hits harder than a NA car, the LSx power curve is more linear so it's not as violent as a modded STi and it might not "feel" as fast. My almost stock STi feels quiker than my old SC'ed S2K, but it's really not.
