Was at a stop light, the road ahead merges from the right lane into the left which turns into one lane. I of course was on the left lane at the light, a bmw 330i with a younger (mid 20s) driver rolled up next to me. Guy gave me the what's up nodd (I had the top down), I returned the nodd. I see that the light going across was turning yellow, guy gave me a rev'ed and asked if I wanna friendly race and I smile back at him. Light turned green and we both screeched our tires out the hole, end of 1st I took him by 1 car, end of 2nd and he's 3 cars back, end of 3rd and I'm about 7-10 cars ahead of him. Next light he rolled up to my left onto the turn lane, he'd said "shiet, dem thingz are fast". I looked at him and brushed off my shoulders as I smile, he smiled back and said "you got me dawg". We parted our ways after that, cool guy .


Bonus-
Later on I got caught up at a light, two guys in a sweet looking Tahoe with 24" chrome rims rolled up and started checking out the S. Passenger said "nice car, what is it?" (Rick's badge of course). I said" take a guess", guy said it's a Spyder right? Driver said "naw, it's that car in Tokyo drifting, it's that orange RX_ something. Told 'em that it's a HONDA, they then said "Honda makes those? (refering to the RX_something)" I took a deep breath and kept it to myself, I then said it's a Honda S2000. Guy said" it's a sweet ride" and get this, he also said "too bad it's not a SI cuz the best model for Hondas are always SI which comes with that Vtec thing" . Light turned green and I took off normal, they'd made a right into some back road later on and that was it for the night.

how do you like your dc header do you feel any butt dyno gains or did you have it dyno'd

 

Never had dyno'd my S, I don't feel any gains but it does indeed smoothen out the rpm when I'm on the gas hard. I say it gains a few (maybe 1 or 2hp) in the mid-range, no top end or lower end fosure.

 

I guess if you like, you could just copy/paste this thread in that thread (hope that makes sense).

The s2000 is quicker from light to light but, on the highway over 100mph a 330 will walk away from us. It's happened more than once to me.

 

Last I heard, the DC header only saved weight. Some showed no gains or even loss power.. I have it because.. well I have it.. LOL..
